Introduction

Dunnedin Ventures is advancing its 100-per-cent-owned copper porphyry projects in British Columbia and Arizona, and the Kahuna Diamond Project in Nunavut.

Dunnedin holds the Trapper Copper-Gold Porphyry Project in the northern Golden Triangle region of British Columbia, and the MPD Copper-Gold Porphyry Project in south-central British Columbia near Princeton. The Trapper and MPD Projects are interpreted to overlie gold-rich copper porphyry systems having surface geochemical, geophysical and regional alteration signatures of considerable size.

In March 2019, Dunnedin entered into a letter of intent to acquire 100% of the Mohave Copper-Molybdenum-Silver Porphyry Project in Yavapai County, Arizona, USA. Mohave has the potential to host a large-scale copper porphyry deposit with silver and molybdenum credits.

Dunnedin is preparing for a busy 2019 exploration season and will kick off with a spring exploration program at MPD in southern BC. For the summer, the company has work scoped out for its projects further north, Trapper and Kahuna, and with the Mohave project in Arizona, Dunnedin is now in a position to continue exploring in autumn and winter.

Projects in Hand

MPD COPPER-GOLD PORPHYRY PROJECT

  • 7,850 hectare (78.5 km2) land package in South-Central British Columbia, 100% owned
  • Historically drilled and recently consolidated
  • In a known, productive copper-gold porphyry belt; nearby mines with similar host rocks (Highland Valley, Copper Mountain, Mt. Milligan, Mt. Polley)
  • Year-round access by service roads adjacent to highway
  • 129 drill holes (25,780 m) completed from 1966 to 2014. Previous operators include Rio Tinto PLC (LSE:RIO) and Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE: NEM)
  • Numerous showings; copper confirmed to-date across a large, 10km2 area
  • Favourable gold-to-copper ratios
  • Untested Cu and Au soil anomalies are near-term drill targets
  • Mineralization from surface, historic drill holes rarely tested below 200m vertical depth. Limited deeper drilling confirms significant depth/size potential

MPD Spring 2019 Exploration Program

  • Numerous historic drill holes with strong metal grades which are prime candidates for follow-up work and deeper drilling
  • Exploration led by DVI's CEO Chris Taylor (P.Geo.), a structural geologist who is also CEO of sister company, Great Bear Resources which made a significant new high-grade gold discovery in Ontario's Red Lake District

Trapper Copper-Gold Porphyry Project

  • 3,756 hectare (38 km2) land package in the northern Golden Triangle, Northern British Columbia, 100% owned
  • Textbook copper/gold porphyry complex with alteration signature of over 15 km2
  • Geophysics, grab sampling and 42 holes (8,581 m) of diamond drilling in 2011
  • Limited sampling program in 2016
  • Circular mineralized ring zone with over 10km of strike surrounding a porphyry centre
  • Gold-rich polymetallic mineralization drilled across 2.2 kilometres, and associated surface copper porphyry showings
  • 2011 drill program included visible gold in core in drill hole flanking copper porphyry, including 34.11 m of 1.71 g/t gold

Mohave Copper-Molybdenum-Silver Porphyry Project

In March of 2019 Dunnedin entered into a letter of intent to acquire 100% of the Mohave copper-molybdenum-silver porphyry project in Yavapai County, Arizona, USA. The project highlights include:

  • Copper porphyry project located in the prolific mineral producing Basin and Range Province of Arizona
  • 10.4 km2 land package, road-accessible and adjacent to Highway 93 which links Las Vegas and Phoenix
  • Geologically and structurally analogous to the Bagdad mine and typified by structures associated with the Lariamide extensional event, like those preferentially mineralized at Bagdad
  • 3,500 metres drilled in 2011, extensive ground work by previous operators with some historic mining

Kahuna Diamond Project

  • Large land holding and diamond rights to 1,664 km2 in mining-friendly Nunavut, 100% owned
  • Favorable Location & Infrastructure, close to communities, port, roads, airport and workforce, and contiguous with Agnico Eagle's Meliadine property
  • Fully permitted for exploration into 2023 for drilling and bulk sampling up to 1,500 tonnes
  • High-grade, near-surface inferred resource of 4 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.01 carat per tonne (cpt) for 4 million carats (mcts) on Kahuna and Notch kimberlite dikes
  • Kimberlites exposed at surface and open along strike and at depth
  • Steeply dipping orebody geometry amenable to low-cost mining methods

Josephine Target Area (JTA)

  • Significant discovery potential, numerous kimberlite pipe targets defined with potential for transformative discovery
  • Pipe Exploration Will Focus on Highly Prospective Josephine Target Area (JTA)
  • Abundance of high ranked diamond indicator minerals with no known source
  • 2018 results helped narrow down main JTA priority area to 10 km2
  • Numerous unresolved geophysical targets
  • Targets will be tested with core drilling

News Update

On March 20, 2019, Dunnedin Ventures Inc. announced results from 109 till samples collected in the Josephine Target Area (JTA) during the fall of 2018. Results have defined a discrete target area for potential diamond sources of 3 km2 at the head of the JTA.

The Company's next diamond-focused exploration campaign will be aimed at the discovery of kimberlite pipes within this newly defined area.
