FireFox Gold is focused entirely on gold exploration in Finland, where it is exploring its project portfolio that includes over 1,700 km2 (170,000 hectares) of prospective ground.

Finland is one of the top mining investment jurisdictions in the world, as indicated by its multiple top 10 rankings in recent Fraser Institute Surveys of Mining Companies. Having a strong mining law and long mining tradition, Finland remains underexplored for gold. Recent exploration results in the country have highlighted its prospectivity, and FireFox is proud to have a Finland-based chief executive officer and technical team.

Projects in Hand

Gold Projects in the central Lapland region of northern Finland

Control of over 1,700 km2 in two gold belts:

The Central Lapland Greenstone Belt (CLGB)

  • Only 5 companies actively exploring for gold in the belt
  • FireFox controls >700 km2
  • Positioned on important trends, near new discoveries
  • Excellent infrastructure
  • Continually generating new targets and acquiring properties

The Kierinki Schist Belt

  • New Kierinki Project covers > 900 km2 in the Kierinki Schist Belt south of CLGB – an emerging gold terrane

Key Projects

Jeesiö Gold Project – New Area of Intense Exploration & Discovery

  • Utsamo Target is between the Risti and Launi East discoveries reported by Aurion Resources
  • Multiple prospects in the area with significant historic investment
  • Targets related to major regional structures (Sirkka and Venejoki Thrust Zones)
  • Extensive gold in till anomalies from historic surveys
  • More than 400 FireFox rock samples in the area, up to 6.39 g/t Au in outcrop
  • Evolving new targets defined by geochemistry, geology, and geophysics.
  • New high-grade target at Katajavaraa is only 2 km southwest from the Launi East vein

Utsamo Target: New Drill Targets in 2020

  • This target represents a 2.8 km long structurally distinct zone, associated with numerous gold anomalies in till, that follows the contact between mafic intrusive rocks and metasediments. This feature is believed to be the continuation of the Sirkka Shear Zone.

Katajavaara Target: Gold Bearing Quartz Vein in Outcrop

  • This new target is located nine kilometres south of the Utsamo target. It hosts significant gold in surface samples, including one quartz-sulphide vein sample with 6.4 g/t gold. The target appears to be related to the Venejoki Shear zone.

Seuru Gold Project – Similar Geology to Kittila Mine & Rupert's Area 1 Targets

  • Multiple targets identified by combining historic GTK sampling & drilling, plus historic geophysics and till sampling.
  • Seuru targets occur in mafic volcanic rocks, similar to the host rocks at Kittila Mine (Agnico Eagle, Europe's largest gold mine).
  • The Sarvilehto target was identified as highly prospective by the GTK in 2009-2010. It is situated approximately 5km north of Rupert's Area 1 gold zone.
    • Mapping, sampling and UAV airborne geophysics completed in 2020.

Mustajärvi Gold Project – Historic Target with New Expanded Potential

100% owned project:

  • 150 hectare Exploration Permit
  • 1,372 hectares Exploration Reservation (Sept 2018)
  • Paved highway cutting property
  • Extensive historic sample and drilling database from GTK and Outokumpu

The observed gold mineralization, structural setting and work to date support the potential for a high-grade orogenic gold deposit on the Mustajärvi property.

On July 27, 2020, FireFox announced that it has engaged GoldSpot Discoveries Corp. (TSXV: SPOT), a leader in utilizing artificial intelligence for target generation in mineral exploration.

FireFox's summer 2020 program integrated new and existing data from rock and trench sampling, till surveys, geophysical surveys, and structural analysis. At Mustajärvi, this process generated three types of priority drill targets:

  • Continuation of chargeability anomalies into metasediments north of known mineralization;
  • Major structural intersections and flexures coincident with geophysical anomalies; and
  • Structurally disrupted rigid bodies with alteration as well as gold and geochemical anomalies in till.

Kolho and Kelontekema Properties

On September 16, 2020, FireFox Gold Corp. announced that it has added two new properties, the Kolho and Kelontekema properties, to its exploration portfolio in the Central Lapland greenstone belt (CLGB) of Finland. These new reservations bring FireFox's tenement holdings in northern Finland to approximately 1,720 square kilometres, among the largest holdings of gold explorers in Lapland. Field programs have been initiated at both properties.
