Metallic Minerals Corp. is a growth-stage exploration company focused on the acquisition and development of high-grade silver and gold projects within underexplored districts proven to produce top-tier assets. The Company’s objective is to create shareholder value through a systematic approach to exploration, reducing investment risk and maximizing the potential for long-term success.

The Company’s core Keno Silver Project is located in the historic Keno Hill Silver District of Canada's Yukon Territory; a region which has produced nearly 300 million ounces of silver and currently hosts one of the world’s highest-grade silver resources. The Company’s La Plata silver-gold-copper Project is located in the high-grade La Plata District of the prolific Colorado Mineral Belt of Colorado, USA. Metallic Minerals is also building a portfolio of alluvial gold royalties in the historic Klondike Gold District of Yukon Territory.

Metallic Minerals is led by a team with a track record of discovery and exploration success, including large scale development, permitting, and project financing.

Metallic Minerals is a member of the Metallic Group of Companies, which is a collaboration of leading precious and base metals exploration companies focused on large, high-quality assets adjacent to world-class producers in North America.

Projects in Hand

Keno Silver Project, Yukon Territory (100%-owned, 166 sq. km)

Metallic has consolidated the second-largest land position in the Keno Hill District

  • The Keno Silver Project is a highly-prospective, district-scale, brownfields exploration property in the world-class Keno Hill Silver District of Canada’s mining-friendly Yukon Territory
  • The area features excellent infrastructure, including grid power, highway/road access, and nearby services in nearby Keno City and Mayo communities
  • The property is directly adjoining the operations of Alexco Resource Corp., one of the highest-grade primary silver operations in the world
  • Drilling and trenching has defined 3 high-grade Keno style silver plus base metal structural zones that are at the step-out drilling stage with 6 additional areas at the first phase drill stage
  • Additional exploration has identified 10 priority multi-kilometre scale early-stage exploration targets
  • Work on these very large-scale areas has confirmed the presence of high-grade Keno-style structures with geophysics suggesting potential for related magmatic/porphyry systems
  • Exploration in 2020 focused on continued advancement toward resource definition and follow-up on 10 early-stage exploration targets to first stage drill testing

La Plata Silver-Gold-Copper Project, Southwest Colorado (100%-owned, 32.7 sq. km)

  • District scale alkalic porphyry and epithermal system
  • Historic high-grade silver and gold producer
  • Historic resource (non 43-101) by Freeport-McMoran
  • Acquired in September 2019 with exploration program initiated
  • Initial block modelling of Rio Tinto and Freeport drill data
  • Re-processing and modelling of district-wide geophysics for La Plata district

Klondike Gold District – Production Royalties (100%-owned, 43.5 sq. km)

  • Metallic is developing an alluvial production royalty portfolio in the prolific Klondike Gold District of Yukon Territory
  • An estimated 20 million ounces of gold have been produced from the Klondike gold district. Dominion and Australia Creek are tributaries of the Indian River, which is the largest producer in the Klondike
  • Metallic holds 27 miles (43.5 sq. km) of creek and bench mining rights along highly-productive Indian River drainage with 7 miles currently under mining agreements with high-quality operators and 20 miles available for lease.
  • Metallic will receive a 10-15% production royalty on its Dominion Creek and Australia Creek holdings from experienced alluvial mining operators and an advanced annual royalty after the first year of the lease

Metallic Minerals – Next Steps

Priorities for 2020

  • Work towards the advancement of mineralized zones to formal NI 43-101 mineral resources
  • Expansion of known mineralization and testing of high-priority early-stage targets
  • Expansion of alluvial royalty leases in Klondike Gold district

Upcoming News into Q3

  • Modelling work and sample results on advanced stage targets at Keno Silver
  • Results from expanded East Keno soil and geophysics work
  • Exploration results from recent La Plata field programs
  • Drill sections and modelling work on La Plata project
  • Advancement on alluvial royalties in Klondike Gold district
  • Start of exploration field programs

News Update

On May 26, 2020, Metallic Minerals Corp. has released exploration results and continuing three-dimensional (3-D) modelling at the West Keno targets on its Keno silver project in Yukon. These results focus on Keno Hill style high-grade silver-lead-zinc mineralization at the Formo, Silver Queen, and Duncan Creek priority target areas.

Highlights from West Keno include:

  • Underground channel samples from the Formo target area show three high-grade mineralized shoots grading more than 1,000 g/t silver equivalent (AgEq) grade that remains open to expansion.
  • Grades from the main Formo deposit returned an average of 7,459 g/t AgEq over 45 m lateral width on the 2800 level, 33 m lateral width grading 1,795 AgEq on the 2700 level, and 44 m lateral width grading 2,258 AgEq on the 2600 level with mineralization open to expansion.
  • Identification of two adjacent high-grade mineralized shoots in underground sampling at Formo on the 2600 level that are open to expansion laterally and to depth.
  • Identification and definition of two untested surface target zones along the main Formo structure.
  • Refinement of two priority drill targets at the Silver Queen target area, down-dip of Alexco Resources’ high-grade Silver King deposit, and trend extension of the Bermingham systems.
  • Discovery of two new multi-kilometer soil anomalies at the early stage of the Duncan target area.
  • Receipt of permits for drilling at Formo and Silver Queen in place with planning underway for the next phase of exploration activities.
