Group Ten Metals Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the development of high-quality platinum, palladium (PGE), nickel, copper, cobalt and gold assets in top North American mining jurisdictions. The Company’s core project is the Stillwater West PGE-Ni-Cu-Co project adjacent to Sibanye-Stillwater’s high-grade Pd-Pt mines in Montana, USA. Group Ten also holds the Kluane PGE-Ni-Cu project adjacent to Nickel Creek Platinum’s Wellgreen deposit in the Yukon Territory, Canada and the Black Lake-Drayton high-grade gold project in the Rainy River district of northwest Ontario.

Projects in Hand

Stillwater West PGE-Ni-Cu-Co Project, Montana, USA (100%-owned)
Highly-prospective brownfields district with potential for world-class PGE-nickel-copper-cobalt discoveries

  • Group Ten has a 100% interest on over approximately 54 sq. km property directly adjacent to Sibanye-Stillwater’s high-grade PGE mines. These three neighbouring mines are situated on the J-M Reef, the highest grade PGE deposit in the world which hosts the largest resources outside of Russia and South Africa with resources of 31.3 Moz Pd+Pt at 17.0 g/t (Measured & Indicated) and 49.4 Moz Pd+Pt at 16.6 g/t (Inferred)
  • The Stillwater Complex is a 2.7B-year-old layered intrusive mafic-ultramafic complex with geology similar to South Africa’s Bushveld Complex, the primary source of all mined platinum, globally
  • The Stillwater West project features excellent existing road access and power infrastructure with three operating mines in the Stillwater district
  • Work to date at Stillwater West has delineated two broad target deposit types:
    • Classic High-Grade “Reef-Type” PGE-Ni-Cu deposits typical of the J-M Reef in Montana and the highly-prolific Merensky Reef in South Africa which hosts the majority of the world’s largest platinum mines
    • Large-Scale “Platreef-Style” PGE-Ni-Cu-Co deposits similar to those found in the lower Bushveld Complex of South Africa such as Ivanhoe’s Platreef, Platinum Group Metals’ Waterberg and Anglo American’s Mogalakwena mines.
  • Group Ten has consolidated ~24 km of lower Stillwater Complex stratigraphy which shows potential for hosting multiple large-scale disseminated and high-sulphide PGE-Ni-Cu-Co type deposits
  • Compilation and analysis by Group Ten shows the potential for much larger mineralized systems than has been previously recognized, based on:
    • highly anomalous Pd, Pt, Au, Ni, Cu, Co, Cr over 18km in soils with strong correlation to basal and ultramafic geology
    • 12 large geophysical anomalies (conductive highs) across same area
    • significant PGE-Ni-Cu-Co mineralization in historic drilling

Group Ten is focused on identifying and advancing the most prospective targets towards resource definition. Work at Stillwater West in 2018 is expected to include:

  • Submit 2018 drill permit application (complete)
  • Data compilation, analysis and interpretation (on-going)
  • Report 2017 surface sample results (assays pending)
  • Comprehensive re-logging of all available historic core (on-going) which is expected to fast-track the development of mineral inventory and ultimately a maiden mineral resource
  • Prioritization of the most prospective targets from over 12 targets areas across the ~24 km property (in progress)
  • Initial focus on the Iron Mountain and Chrome Mountain target areas
  • Complete work programs including:
    • Geological mapping
    • Ground-based geophysics
    • Prospecting and rock sampling programs
    • Soil sampling
    • Drill test priority targets (subject to permits)

Black Lake-Drayton Gold Project, Northwest Ontario, Canada

  • High-grade gold in the Rainy River Belt
  • Geology similar to adjoining First Mining’s Goldlund project and Treasury Metals’ Goliath project
  • Historic bulk samples of 8,062 kg @ 14.01 g/t Au and 4,087 kg @ 18.65 g/t Au
  • Grab Samples up to 1,212 g/t Au in quartz-tourmaline veins/stockwork
  • 127-hole drill database, including: 0.24m @ 190.7 g/t and 0.65m @ 19.78 g/t Au
  • July 2017 report identified 43 high priority targets, 5 of which are drill-ready

Kluane PGE-Ni-Cu Project, Yukon Territory, Canada (100% owned)
Emerging world-class PGE-Ni-Cu district

  • Group Ten is the largest landholder in the Kluane Mafic-Ultramafic Belt, a system of PGE-Ni-Cu deposits which extend from northern BC through the Yukon into Alaska.
  • The Kluane Project adjacent to Nickel Creek Platinum’s Wellgreen deposit
  • The multi-million-ounce Wellgreen deposit demonstrates the world-class potential of the belt, with geology similar to some of the world's largest PGE and Ni-Cu deposits, including Norilsk-Talnakh, Bushveld, and the Stillwater Complex.
  • Massive sulphide mineralization typically occurs near the basal contact (e.g. the Spy Sill) and can also occur within the cores of larger ultramafic bodies.
  • Group Ten controls over 240 sq. km of claims in three properties – Catalyst, Spy and Ultra – which host magmatic PGM-Ni-Cu occurrences in layered intrusions similar to Wellgreen and other deposits in the belt.

News Update

On March 25, 2019, Group Ten Metals Inc. reported the 2018 Exploration results and the expanded land position at Black Lake-Drayton gold project in Northwest Ontario, Canada

On February 21, 2019, Group Ten Metals Inc. has released results from the Chrome Mountain and East Boulder target areas on the west side of the Stillwater West project in Montana, United States. Group Ten reported wide intercepts of platinum and palladium mineralization from the Chrome Mountain target area at the Stillwater West Project.

Group Ten President & CEO, Michael Rowley, recently sat down for interviews to discuss the fundamentals of the Stillwater West project as well as recent news and 2019 plans:

On January 25, 2019, Group Ten Metals Inc. announced high-grade palladium, platinum and gold results from the Wild West and Boulder targets covering the far western end of the Stillwater West project in Montana.

Highlight results from drilling at the Pine shear zone at the Wild West target area include 31.02 g/t 3E (28.7 g/t gold, 1.06 g/t platinum, 1.27 g/t palladium) over 2.6 metres and 16.94 g/t 3E (16.19 g/t Au, 0.24 g/t Pt, 0.50 g/t Pd) over 7.98 metres in a gold-PGE-enriched, structurally controlled shear zone hosted within the chromite-rich ultramafic stratigraphy. Mineralization remains open to expansion in all directions and is one of several priority targets for additional follow-up exploration in the Wild West target area.

Michael Rowley, President and CEO, commented, “We are pleased to report the results of our compilation and modelling efforts at Stillwater West alongside results of the 2018 exploration. This first release focuses on the Boulder and Wild West target areas, which cover the western-most 8 km of the 25 km long Stillwater West project, where work in 2018 confirmed the presence of significant PGE+gold along with nickel, copper and cobalt sulphide mineralization. Mineralization at these two target areas corresponds with two nearly untested electromagnetic geophysical conductors that are approximately 4 and 3.8 km in length, respectively. Surface sampling from these targets show values up to10.3 grams-per-tonne (g/t) palladium, 3.8 g/t platinum and 21.8 g/t gold in rock samples, with 20 samples returning from 2 to 30 g/t platinum equivalent grade mineralization, including significant nickel, copper, and cobalt values.”
